Hero’s and Villain’s

IRONMAN SNAP – 2019 – SOLD – Prints available click here

Acrylic on canvas – I painted this after watching Avengers: Endgame, I thought this moment was such an eventful and emotional moment to end a 10 year build up and was influenced to paint it. I enjoyed the process of contemplating how to caption the emotion and significance of this scene, having Tony Stark fading to black on one side indicating his eventual death after this moment. While on the other half of the background showing the colour of the infinity stones that leads to his demise. I enjoyed painting this so much I was working on a digital copy while on holiday it was a joy to create. I was approached after posting the finished piece online and as hard as it was to sell I decided to part with it, I liked the piece enough to have a print made for myself currently hanging in my studio.

Dark Knight – 2019 16×20 inches £200 – Prints available

Acrylic/spray paint on canvas-I’ve been a fan of the DC franchise and the design of their characters for a very long time especially the Dark Knight, and wanted a painting to portray that. I decided the gloomy and dark presence of Batman lurking on a rooftop was perfect. Only striking and becoming visible when needed, waiting in the shadows in the dark of night. I decided I wanted more of a comic book look with just minute details showing on batman as small amounts of light would be hitting the Dark Knight, with the white of the eyes in the cowl watching over Gotham. Also making the heavy white rain contrasting against the dark purple sky background and interacting with batman hitting him and falling from him bringing it to the forefront of the painting, not just vanishing behind.

The passing of Mjölnir – 2021 A3 £250 – Prints available click here

Acrylic on canvas – This is my second painting from Avengers: Endgame and I chose which I think is another monumental part of the story. The passing of Mjölnir depicts the moment in which we see Captain America lift and wield Mjölnir in aid of Thor after his battle with Thanos. This wasn’t an easy painting as my reference was a freeze frame from the movie with action figures as my other references. I wanted the lightning from Mjölnir to stand out as it does in the movie with the reflections of blue showing on Steve Rogers and Thanos as lightning would if being that close. Also reflecting on the surrounding areas around them battling. I brought the background forward aswell with the flames illuminating on Thanos’ face, armour and hand, also on Mjölnir.
